Sheriff’s dogs will soon search Hopkinton High School lockers, following reports that underage drinking and pot use are on the rise statewide – an increase law enforcement blames on the partial decriminalization of marijuana.
“It’s particularly troubling,” Middlesex Country District Attorney Gerry Leone said yesterday, describing emboldened student smokers, including first-timers. “We earmarked this as an issue and that it was going to be a slippery slope.”
