  • blackoak48  - Coping with possibility of drug test
    Hello,

I have joined both the National and Mass. NORML just earlier today. I should have joined and contributed long ago and been involved with others in a more forceful way. I have supported the legalization of Cannabis for decades and smoked it responsibly and helped others understand the necessity of Med. Cannabis, etc. Anyway now I am an official member and will participate in any ways that I am able.

I do have a question however. Is it possible for me to have either e-mail contact or phone contact with someone from MASS. NORML regarding the urine drug tests for cannabis?

I have studied this issue extensively and I feel I have an excellent grasp of the tests and the neg. metabolites, and that it can take anywhere from 30 to 100 days to test neg. for a chronic user. Plus I have been through two drug tests in the past and did pass since I was not smoking at the time.

In the last two years I have been under terrible stress and have resorted to chronic use, but stopped all smoking 32 days ago. I have THC urine test strips so I can monitor when I will be neg. and because I smoked chronically I am still pos. I have experimented with drinking 120 oz. of water within 3 hrs. and then after that I tested neg. due to the dilution factor for up to 9 hrs. after my last glass of water. However I know that labs can see the dilution since the urine is clear and they can test for dilution by testing specific gravity ( SP ) and possibly creatine. I have ordered urine test strips so that I can keep track of my baseline specific gravity ( SP ) and then I will experiment a few more times with half as much water to dilute and take vit. B-2 and then test for metabolite detection and specific gravity ( SP ) to see if I can retain some color and at least a low SP (within the normal range) so that dilution is not suspected.

I am doing this since I may have a job offer and one never knows if any employer will require a drug test. Is it possible for me to...

I guess I ran out of space in this message box in my last communication so I am including the last of my letter below.

I am doing this since I may have a job offer and one never knows if any employer will require a drug test. Is it possible for me to communicate with someone from MASS NORML about this issue?

    Sincerely,
